Due to several bad riding accidents, being older and not having had a sound horse to ride for a year, I had become a very nervous rider. Fortunately, I was unbelievably lucky to borrow a very reliable older horse and was put in contact with Gitte.
I have been working with Gitte about 6 weeks and I am now actually riding again and not just sitting on top, not really with the horse, and getting off at the earliest opportunity. Gitte encourages and pushes but still in my comfort zone, which thank goodness is getting bigger.
Not all coaches have the understanding or patience to teach like this.
Gitte has helped me achieve relaxation and joy in the saddle again – two great gifts and something I thought I had lost forever. I suggest that anyone, young or old will benefit from her coaching.

Gitte is not just a riding instructor, she goes above and beyond. She is happy to travel to you for lessons, gives advice on little exercises to work through problems, helpful competition tips, horse nutritional and pre competition advice and is always interested in the health and wellbeing of both the horse and rider. I always look forward to my lessons, they keep me on track and give me positive re-enforcement for the time and effort I put into a sport and partnership I love.
To know Gitte has been a blessing, she is a wonderful and deeply knowledgeable coach and mentor. Her teaching style is straightforward and easily understood. This together with her bubbly, patient and calm personality make for excellent dressage lessons!
Gitte has taught me not to be scared to get “it” wrong and that it doesn’t matter if “it” is ugly to begin with – we all have to start somewhere! Giving it ago is better than doing nothing at all!

Not only has Gitte dramatically improved our dressage in a few short months but she has made me feel like our progress is something she really cares about and we are not just another client. Gitte’s bubbly personality, sense of humour and wealth of knowledge has helped me overcome many frustrating obstacles. Finding an instructor that has all these qualities, and many more, is not easy and I hope to keep learning from her for many years to come.

Gitte has a warm and friendly nature that has endeared her to clientele and equine industry professionals alike. I have been treating the horses in Gitte’s care since June 2009. From our initial consultation Gitte illustrated her wealth of knowledge and experience regarding equine care. Following a treatment, it is evident that all recommendations and aftercare instructions have been followed. The physical and physiological changes of the horses are a testament to the exceptional equine husbandry and professionalism.
In addition to the horses in Gitte’s care, the positive training techniques and horse husbandry can be identified by her pupils.
I have no reservations on recommending Gitte to clients and look forward to continuing a report with GN Equestrian Coaching in the future.

After many years of riding with many different coaches, Gitte is simply the best dressage coach I've ever ridden with. Her style of teaching is easy to follow and my horse and I progressed so much more quickly than I thought possible. At no time did my slightly fizzy thoroughbred get stressed and worried and would remain calm and happy to work through our exercises. Our results in competitions improved dramatically too. Thank you Gitte for all of you patience and lessons.

My lessons with Gitte are one of the highlights of my week. Her positive method of teaching and bubbly personality means we get heaps achieved in our lessons. Gitte is by far the best flat instructor I've had and I think I would die if she stopped teaching!

What do you need when you are an adult getting back into riding, having never had formal training, and your 'steed' is an 800kg Clydesdale who is trained to do all the traditional 'clydie work'? You need a great coach with a terrific sense of humor and lots of skill and patience, and that is what Gitte offers.

Gitte is a coach that is not only happy to teach the 'big dressage horses' but is also happy to teach the 'short ones' too!
Yes, I have ponies! Gitte has taken my newly broken pony from being a unbalanced little man that couldn’t find third gear, to a supple, light, engaged and now balanced pony. Wow, is all that I can say. Amazing, we are now working through laterals, lengthening and collection. All in just over twelve months. It feels great! Gitte is great at making sure you understand the why, what, when and how, of getting that connection and the feeling when you have made it happen is nothing short of heaven! I cannot wipe the smile of my face. Gitte is happy, outgoing, informative, helpful and inspiring. And she travels out to your place too. What else can we ask for!? We would definitely be lost without her.

In my lessons, Gitte enables me to feel supported and encouraged as I learn from my mistakes. She genuinely understands my frustration and the best part, Gitte joyously shares in my triumphs when 'it' all comes together, which thanks to Gitte, is more often and more consistently.

I have been having lessons with Gitte for 18 months or so and have enjoyed every lesson. Gitte is motivating and gets the best out of my horse and myself each time we meet. With a lot of other instructors I have had in the past I have found it hard to understand what they were trying to achieve. Gitte has a way of explaining, to the everyday person, what you need to do and why and how it should feel. My horse and I have improved immensely since having instruction with Gitte; she is a very gifted person when it comes to understanding the horse and how to communicate between rider and horse. I cannot praise her enough, you should just give her a try for yourself then you will understand what all her students mean.
